Business Process Improvement

In 2008, we assisted a client which wanted to make SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), because it lost at least Rp 10 Billions. It was caused by Fixed Income division who conducted bond selling transaction had not reported to the company. The management settled the transaction to keep credibility of the company. When the management wanted to prosecute the Division Head who was responsible for this transaction, the management could not do because the company did not have a specific rule/procedure that did not allowed that happened, even the company had delegated to conduct transaction. This event was regreted, as the several months before it had been happened, the management requested the proposal, but it had not yet been approved.

Other events that are common to be happened when the company wants to implement ERP (enterprise resource planning), it has been realized the policies and procedures are not clear, so that the ERP implementation has not been finished on time, even it was not optimal, because there are several procedures or controlled have not yet been covered by ERP.

Two above examples shows that the company needs process improvement which can document the existing procedures and policy. More over procedures and policies can be used to analyze how to improve customer satisfaction, because functions are interrelation each others.

We conduct Business Process Improvement training which is expected to train attendance to be able make procedures and policies. This training will be conducted in two days within 2 weeks, so that the attendance can have a chance to practice the knowledge and discuss in the next meeting the difficulties that may have been faced.
